Valour Youth

Valour Youth is for young people up to the age of twenty-one. Valour Youth is for both boys and girls who are preparing themselves to become adults.

Valour Youth is here to engage young people and challenge negative perceptions that they face about themselves which can lead to anti-social behaviour and which can later create barriers in their lives.
No self respecting young man or woman wants to go to prison, to be unemployed, to be rejected or abuse or have their children or their partner/spouse abused when they become adults. 
However, if a child is mentally, socially scared when they are young this can affect them when they become adults, can permanent affect, either them as they become adults, or their children, or the lives of people they come in contact with.
Valour Youth is about changing those negative cycles in their lives when they are young. This is why we work closely with schools, NSPCC, NACRO, YOT, PCT, local councils, and other agencies including faith groups to create this change.

Every Child Matters is a shared programme of change to improve outcomes for all children and young people.  Every Child Matters is a new approach to the well-being of children and young people from birth to age 19.

The Government's aim is for every child, whatever their background or their circumstances, to have the support they need to:

  • be healthy
  • stay safe
  • enjoy and achieve
  • make a positive contribution
  • achieve economic well-being.

This the aim of Mighty Men of Valour is to support our youth because if we are unable to enhance the well-being of our children, this will ultimately affect men and their relationships with their children, partners and their community when they are adults.
THE GOD FATHER - MENTORING PROJECT

God Fathers are not there all the time in a child’s life but they are there when strategic life changing decisions have to be made.

Our God Fathers Project, is here to provide protection, support, care, advice, sounding boards and confidants as well as providing financial support and guidance where applicable.

PEER MENTORS - BE FRIENDER

Peer Mentors/Befrienders are young people who have experienced the harsher side of life or who have had very good family backgrounds, but they can offer you the chance to talk and to discuss things that you would not necessarily be able to discuss at home or with your friends.
